Description
A few words about the piece: Nunc dimittis is a contemporary Latin setting of the Canticle of Simeon, intended for performance in a liturgical or concert context. The piece conveys the intimate, contemplative character of Simeon’s prayer through an expressive, flowing choral texture. The composition has been performed by numerous ensembles, including the CANTO choir from Włocławek and the choir of the music schools in Legnica. In 2024, the piece was presented in London by the ensemble SANSARA, conducted by Ellie Slorach, as part of the festival of Polish sacred music “Joy & Devotion”.
