Description
A few words about the piece: Crux fidelis is a contemporary sacred choral setting of the ancient Latin hymn by Venantius Fortunatus, traditionally associated with the liturgy of Holy Week. The piece captures the solemn, contemplative character of the text through an expressive treatment of the mixed choir. The composition received a distinction at the 2nd National Composition Competition for a Passion Song in Bydgoszcz in 2006, and has been performed by numerous choirs in Poland and abroad – including the Ars Cantandi choir from Wrocław – at international choral festivals and competitions.
